German footballer Jerome Boateng has been convicted of torturing his ex-girlfriend and fined 1.8 million euros (Rs 358.2 million).
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, a woman named Shereen S. is also the mother of Jerome's twin daughters who accused Jerome of attacking and torturing her in 2018. Shereen had filed a lawsuit in a Munich court.
Shereen told the court he was on holiday in the West Indies when Jerome attacked him. Jerome tortured him so much that he held his breath for a moment. Yesterday, the court ruled in favor of Shereen and ordered Jerome to pay 1.8 million euros in damages. It should be noted that in February this year, Jerome's second girlfriend, 22-year-old Cassia Lennart, committed suicide in her flat in Berlin.
