Kandahar: Protests against the Taliban took place in Kandahar, considered the main stronghold of the Taliban.
According to a foreign news agency, protests have been going on across the country since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, but now thousands of people have protested against the Taliban in the city of Kandahar, which is considered their stronghold.
The Taliban ordered civilians in Kandahar to evacuate a former military colony in three days, prompting more than 3,000 families to protest in front of the governor's house, including children and adults.
Protesters blocked the main road in front of the governor's house during the protest, but the Taliban have not yet commented on the reason for evacuating a former military colony.
Most of the families in the colony, which has been ordered to be evacuated by the Taliban, are former military officers, including several retired generals.
