The Chinese government has banned men from making political and cultural satires on television, including men who look like women or men who look like transgender people.
According to the Associated Press (AP), Chinese President Xi Jinping announced the "national rehabilitation youth program" in order to build a healthy society.

The agency's directive explicitly called on TV channels to refrain from showing nudity to Internet and showbiz personalities.
The government agency has suggested that TV channels show Chinese culture to build a healthier society, in order to advance the national restoration movement.
In this regard, Reuters reported that the Chinese government has issued instructions not to show all male artists on TV who resemble women or transgender people, including misrepresenting culture and politics.
The report said that the regulatory body of TV and radio had issued a stern warning in the guidelines issued by the broadcasters and said that action would be taken against the violating TV channels.
In the guideline issued by the organization, the female artist was declared as the cause of unhealthy society.
The move by the Chinese government comes at a time when the government has recently restricted children's access to online gaming.
The government recently ordered children under the age of 18 to play online games for only three hours a week, while online games will be completely banned during school hours.
The government also recently blocked the accounts of entertainment companies on various Chinese social networking sites on charges of spreading nudity.
Chinese officials believe that local male artists are imitating South Korean and Japanese artists and adopting a feminine style and nature, which could lead to a breakdown in society.
