A Pakistani company has developed a machine arm for the disabled


 
Karachi: For the first time in Pakistan, a robotic arm (machine arm) based on modern technology has been developed for people with congenital disabilities or those affected by an accident.

With the help of sensors, this artificial hand operated by the brain can also move and lift weights. With the help of the robotic arm, people with disabilities can perform their daily tasks as easily as normal people.

In this regard, a two-day international exhibition on the functionality of technology in healthcare was held at Karachi University, an international exhibition at Comcast ICCBS, which was developed by a private Pakistani company, Bionics. Introduced this arm.


In addition to several sensors, the arm is equipped with a battery that keeps the arm active for 8 hours continuously on a full charge. The arm can lift three and a half kilograms, with wrists moving and fingers moving.

Bionics has created three models of artificial hands, including Black X, Black, Life 2.0 model in human skin color, and in the superhero version, children can customize the arm, but it costs up to Rs 3.5 million. Is. A similar arm has been attached to citizen Moaz Zahid.

"I was affected by an accident a year and a half ago in which I lost my right arm. I was unable to do my daily work after being paralyzed with one hand," Moaz told Express News. My heart was very sad. I wanted to do something in life. When I found out about this technology, I immediately approached the company and installed a robotic arm.


"Thanks to this technology, I can now do my daily chores easily, drive a car, play the guitar, brush my teeth, drink tea and much more," he said.

He said that the use of robotic arms is very easy, after this technology, the feeling of deprivation has disappeared from his heart and now life is starting to look beautiful. He said that people who are deprived of their hands should take advantage of this technology, he was happy that now Pakistan is also advancing in technology like other countries.

According to company officials, more than 100 people in Pakistan are currently benefiting from Bionics' robotic arm and are able to carry out their daily tasks with ease. This technology is specifically designed to eliminate the feeling of deprivation from the heart of people with disabilities.

The bionics expert said his company had installed a robotic arm in the world's youngest child, a world record.
