World leaders must take immediate action on Afghanistan: Malala

Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has called on world leaders to take immediate action on the situation in Afghanistan.

Speaking to the BBC, Malala Yousafzai, a 23-year-old Nobel Peace Prize laureate, said she was "deeply concerned" about the current situation in Afghanistan, especially the safety of women and girls.

Malala Yousafzai called on world leaders to take immediate action in Afghanistan, saying that US President Joe Biden still had a long way to go, especially to protect the Afghan people.

In response to a question, Malala Yousafzai said that Afghanistan is in fact facing an urgent humanitarian crisis for which we need help, but she also mentioned the efforts to contact several world leaders.

Malala said she had sent a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan requesting resettlement of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, access to education for all refugee children and measures to make their lives safer.

It may be recalled that Malala Yousafzai had a telephone conversation with Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry yesterday during which the Federal Minister assured that Pakistan would continue to support efforts for women's education in Afghanistan.
