A statement issued by the Uzbek Ministry of Defense said that the Uzbek Defense Forces targeted an Afghan fighter jet in violation of airspace, which crashed in the Uzbek province bordering Afghanistan.
The Uzbek army shot down a US-delivered Afghan air force A-29 "Super Tucano" over its airspace last night.
Apparently, the pilots tried to flee to #Uzbekistan, but did not identify properly.

The plane's arrival was not officially reported to Uzbek authorities, prompting Uzbek forces to shoot it down for violating the border.
