The French news agency has claimed that the Taliban have started advancing to take control of the Panjshir Valley.
Ahmed Masood, son of Ahmad Shah Masood, has set up a national resistance front in Panjshir Valley. Talks with the Taliban were ongoing but failed, after which the militants started advancing towards the valley. Some pro-Ahmad Masood Twitter accounts say that fighting has started in the Panjshir Valley but independent sources Could not confirm
It should be noted that Panjshir Valley is the only province of Afghanistan which has not been captured by the Taliban yet.
