Prime Minister Imran Khan has welcomed the largest investment of 8 85 million in Pakistan's history in the online service Airlift.
It may be recalled that under Series B, a significant amount of money has been invested in Airlift, a company based in Lahore.
Series B financing is the second round of funding for a company that has reached some milestones and is in its infancy.
The Prime Minister tweeted that we welcome the recent investment of 8 85 million by the world's leading venture capitalists (VCs) in Airlift, a company run by young Pakistanis.

The Prime Minister's tweet was thanked by Airlift in a tweet.
Airlift's tweet said it was grateful to the Prime Minister for focusing on Airlift's milestones, which would pave the way for future investments in Pakistani startups.

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar also appreciated the investment and said that he was happy that international investors were showing confidence in Pakistan's emerging technology.

Meanwhile, Azhar Mashwani, Punjab Chief Minister's Focal Person for Digital Media, pointed out that investment in Pakistani startups increased to $170 million between 2015 and 2020 and $ 193 million in 2021 alone.
He wishes good luck to Twitter's Airlift and everyone else.
It should be noted that in the history of Pakistan, 85 million is twice the size of the initial public offering of a private company, while the Middle East and North Africa region is the largest.
Usman Gul, co-founder and CEO of Airlift Technologies, said the investment would increase the country's foreign direct investment by 5% for fiscal year 2022.
