Israel has recalled its ambassador to Poland, calling the law anti-Semitic, and Poland has barred its ambassador from visiting Israel.
According to details, Polish President Andrzej Duda has signed a new law. Under the new law, any administrative decision issued 30 years ago cannot be challenged in court. Israel and the United States have strongly criticized the law. Israel argues that the anti-Semitic law means that Jewish homes or businesses seized during the communist era will no longer be compensated. Poland introduced a similar law in 2018. Under which Poland would criminalize false claims of cooperation with Nazi Germany and severe penalties were proposed for those who did so.
