Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban's spokesman in Afghanistan, said that if ISIS created a war situation, we would deal with it.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid announced that his party would crack down on ISIS in the wake of the attacks in Kabul.
In an interview with the French news agency AFP, Zabihullah Mujahid expressed hope that ISIL's attacks would end after the withdrawal of foreign troops.
"We hope that the Afghan citizens who are affected by ISIS will give up their operations after the absence of foreigners and the formation of an Islamic government," the Taliban spokesman said.
"If they (ISIS) create a war situation and continue their operations, we (Islamic government) will deal with them," he added.
"They are not allowed to carry out such operations, our freedom must be respected," said Zabihullah Mujahid, referring to US drone strikes in response to ISIS attacks.
Zabihullah Mujahid reiterated that the new Taliban government would not be announced until the last US troops left Afghanistan.
"It is important to announce the government but it requires a lot of patience. We are consulting responsibly to form the government."
A Taliban spokesman said: "We have some technical issues with this issue."
It should be noted that more than 100 people, including 13 US military personnel and 22 Taliban fighters, were killed in the August 26 attacks on Kabul Airport.
The ISIS Khurasan group claimed responsibility for the attacks, after which US President Joe Biden vowed immediate retaliation.
The United States launched a drone strike in Afghanistan on Saturday, claiming to have killed two members of the Islamic State group who had fought the Taliban in the past.
The U.S. military says a car bomb had exploded at an Iraqi police recruiting center at Kisak, west of Baghdad. Ongoing troops could attack the withdrawal.
This was followed this morning (August 30) by a rocket attack by ISIS near Kabul International Airport, which was defused by the US anti-missile system.
A US drone strike targeting ISIS on Monday killed 10 members of the same family, including children.
