IED blast kills Pak Army soldier

 

An improvised explosive device (IED) has exploded in Asman Manza area of South Waziristan, killing a Pakistani soldier.

According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), a landmine exploded during a clearance operation in which soldier Wajidullah was martyred. The martyred soldier was 25 years old and belonged to Karak.

Security forces cordoned off the area after the blast. During the siege, an exchange of fire took place with a terrorist who had fled the scene, in which the terrorist was killed.
