Big shock to Taliban, three districts were snatched

In Afghanistan's northern province of Baghlan, resistance forces have seized control of three districts from the Taliban. Districts that fell to the Taliban include Pul-e-Hisar, Bannu and Dah Salah.

Afghan TV channel Tolo News, citing local sources, claimed that heavy fighting broke out in all the three districts in which heavy casualties were reported. This is the first time such an incident has taken place since the Taliban took control of Kabul.

Assadullah, the former police chief of Bannu district, says he has liberated three districts from the Taliban with the help of God. He is now moving towards Khenjan district and will soon liberate Baghlan province completely.

According to Ghani Andrabi, former police commander in charge of the Baghlan Highway, the Taliban have suffered heavy casualties due to public resistance. At present, Bannu district is completely under the control of the people's resistance forces.

TOLOnews quoted sources as saying that after taking control of Baghlan province, the Taliban launched a house-to-house search operation, which provoked a strong public reaction and resulted in resistance.

No official statement has been issued by the Taliban on the issue, but sources said that the Taliban have started preparations to regain control of the three districts.
