US media have claimed that the Taliban killed 22 Afghan army surrendering commandos.
According to US media reports, 22 Afghan commandos were killed in Daulatabad district of Faryab province on June 16. In a fight between Afghan forces and Taliban in Daulatabad, Afghan commandos surrendered after the ammunition ran out. 22 Afghan commandos shot dead
The Taliban told the American media that the video of the killing of Afghan commandos was fake, it was propaganda by the Afghan government to stop the people from surrendering.
The Taliban also claimed to have captured 24 Afghan commandos from Faryab, but the Afghan Ministry of Defense denied the Taliban's claim in an interview with US media, saying the commandos were killed in Faryab.
The Red Cross also confirmed the recovery of the bodies of 22 Afghan commandos.
