If there is no moon, the earth will not be habitable. If the moon does not remain and its gravity does not exist, then the earth will rotate on its axis three to four times faster than the current speed. The winds that blow will blow.
There will be no chance of birds and insects surviving, and only plants that have very deep roots will survive, and animals that are very small and very hardy will survive. Creatures' survival depends on ocean currents. Most crops will be wiped out and a change in temperature will usher in an ice age that man has never encountered.
