China has sent a message to the G7 countries that their days are over.
Gone are the days when groups of small countries used to decide the fate of the world, according to a statement from the Chinese embassy in London.
The statement added that China has always believed that all the countries of the world are equal and no one is small or big. World affairs should be conducted through mutual consultation and not according to the so-called principles laid down by small countries. The only legitimate global system of governing the world is the international order based on the principles of the United Nations.
The G7 includes the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Japan, Germany and Italy. The G7 summit is currently underway in the United Kingdom.
