Three people have been martyred and 24 others injured in a blast in Johar Town area of the provincial capital Lahore. Two of the martyrs have been identified.
According to private TV, the martyrs of the Lahore blast include 30-year-old Abdul Khaliq and his five-year-old son Abdul Haq. Abdul Khaliq was at home with his wife and three sons when the blast severely injured five people. Later, Abdul Khaliq And his son Abdul Haq was martyred. The third person killed in the blast has not yet been identified.
According to private TV, the preliminary investigation report said that the explosives were present in the car. 15 to 20 kg of explosives were used in the blast. The material used in the blast is foreign-made while nails and ball bearings were used.
The report said that a pit three feet deep and eight feet wide fell at the site of the blast. The blast was remote controlled.
