Leading Bangladeshi cleric Ahmadullah, who is popular on the internet, has issued a fatwa saying that it is haraam to use the haha emoji on Facebook with the intention of making fun of someone.
Mufti Ahmadullah, who has more than 2.2 million followers on Facebook and YouTube, has released a video in which he has banned the use of 'haha' emoji on Facebook.
According to Ahmadullah, people use it to ridicule others, which Islam does not allow. He explained that if the emoji is used on a funny post and is not intended to make fun of the person who posted it, then it is permissible. It is strictly forbidden in Islam to use it for ridicule.

Ahmadullah said, "For God's sake, I urge you all to stay away from this act. If you show the heart of a Muslim, he may insult you."
Thousands of people have reacted to this video of Ahmadullah, the majority of people have taken this message positively while some people have also made fun of this video and used the e-hama emoji.
