A female company accountant who embezzled more than 100 million Korean won (90 90,000) for three years has been sentenced by a court to one year in prison. The court ruled against the 40-year-old woman. The court ruled that from January 2017 to June this year, the female accountant embezzled 364 small and large sums of money, totaling more than 100 million Korean won. The court ruled that the long-term and large-scale embezzlement caused difficulties for the company in paying taxes and the quality of the company deteriorated among consumers and the company faced business problems. The court ruled that although 94 million won had been recovered from the embezzled 100 million Korean won, it was such a large-scale fraud that the woman was sentenced to one year in prison.
