A rocket attack on a hospital in the Syrian city of Afrin, occupied by Turkish-backed militants, has killed 13 people and injured 27.
According to Reuters news agency, two artillery attacks were carried out in Afrin. The first attack targeted a residential area, while the second targeted a hospital. Turkish officials and sources have confirmed the attack and said that Al-Shifa Hospital in Afrin was targeted in which two members of the medical staff were also killed. Services at the hospital have been suspended since the attack.

It was not immediately clear who carried out the attack, but the shelling came from an area where Syrian forces and Kurdish fighters are stationed. The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement that rockets were fired at the hospital, as well as artillery shelling, killing 13 people and injuring 27. The governor of the Turkish province bordering Afrin has blamed Syrian Kurdish militant groups for the attack.
