A big step was taken against 7 members of the National Assembly for rioting and gossiping

 

Asad Qaiser, the Speaker of the National Assembly, yesterday banned the entry of seven members of the National Assembly who were shouting and chanting slogans.

According to details, government members Ali Nawaz Awan, Abdul Majeed Khan and Fahim Khan, who are facing ban from the Speaker National Assembly, will be barred from entering the National Assembly, while Sheikh Rohail Asghar, one of the opposition members, Agha Rafiullah and Hamid Hameed have been barred from entering the National Assembly premises. The Speaker said that action would be taken against those violating the sanctity of the House without any discrimination. A statement issued by the National Assembly Secretariat said that the ban on entry would remain in place until further notice.

Apart from the riots and attacks on each other in the National Assembly yesterday, serious grief and concern is being expressed in all quarters over Galam Gluch, while Prime Minister Imran Khan has also taken notice of the riots that took place yesterday. Prime Minister Imran Khan called on the Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser to discuss the commotion in the Assembly yesterday and discussed the matter. Speaker Asad Qaiser briefed the Prime Minister on the details of the incident.

Sources said that before the meeting between the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the National Assembly, an inquiry meeting was also held in the Parliament House under the chairmanship of Asad Qaiser, in which the Deputy Speaker and the Secretary of the National Assembly were present to review the footage and evidence. A committee chaired by Speaker Asad Qaiser completed the inquiry in which it was decided that members who used obscene language in the National Assembly session yesterday would not be allowed to attend the session. Among those rioting at the meeting were government ministers and senior members.
