According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world's largest mango has recently been planted in Colombia. It weighs 4.3 kilograms, or 9.36 pounds.
The mango is grown by Nova Berera and Raina Maria in San Martin Garden, Guayaquil, Colombia. From the beginning, both of them were watching this mango which was growing at an extraordinary speed. Now it has spread to all mangoes on the growing farm. His daughter had previously said that the mango might be part of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Earlier in 2009, a mango weighing 7.5 pounds was grown in the Philippines, which was included in the Guinness Book of World Records, and now this record has been broken by Colombian mango by a clear margin.
"Through the Guinness Book of World Records, we want to show the world that we Colombians are accustomed to humility and hard work. We love farming and nature and we are cultivating the best fruits on our land. In this way, the message of the epidemic will be a message of hope and happiness for the whole world, "Nova Brera said during the Guinness Book of World Records ceremony.
After the confirmation of Guinness Book of World Records, the mango was cut and eaten on the same day, but before that a mold of this mango has been made and submitted to the municipal department as a record.
