Jewish actress Gal Gadot faces criticism for tweeting in favor of Royal

Israeli forces have been waging a crackdown on Palestinians since last week, killing 119 Palestinians and wounding 830 others.

Voices have been raised against the ongoing persecution of Palestinians by various countries, while local and non-local showbiz and well-known personalities have also condemned the attacks.

However, the Israeli-American Jewish actress Gal Gadot, who played the lead role in 'Wonder Woman 1984', has tweeted in favor of Israel, on which she is facing severe criticism.

"My heart is crying, my country is at war, I'm worried for my family, my friends, I'm worried for my people," Gal Gadot tweeted in the wake of the May 7 incident.

"This cycle of evil has been going on for a long time. Israel also has the right to live as a free and secure nation," she added.

"Our neighbors have the same right. I pray for the victims and their families," Gadot wrote.

The Hollywood actress wrote: 'I pray for an end to this unimaginable animosity, I pray that our leaders find a solution to this problem so that we can live together in peace, for good days.

However, after Gal Gadot's tweet, she faced severe criticism on social media while most people said that she was supporting the oppressors.

One user wrote, "Don't talk about peace when you have served in the Israeli Defense Forces in the past, who have killed children and adults walking peacefully in the streets."

"Have they ever seen videos of attacks on women, deaths of men and children, you can't pray for the people when you join them who have taken such steps," wrote a user named Gentert.

A user named Jack changed the wording of Gal Gadot's tweet and wrote that he has fixed it.

"Don't dare say we're neighbors when you were part of the IDF," wrote Lane.

"We are not neighbors, this is our land, you took it by force, kicked us out, imprisoned us and took away our rights," Noorul Ayoun wrote.

"You were supported by billions of US dollars while we had nothing. You are not our neighbor, you are not from here, you started it," he added.

Another user wrote, "They are not your neighbors, you snatched their house."

Another user wrote, 'Didn't he serve in the IDF and witness this genocide? And now all of a sudden what happened? '

Gal Gadot has been embroiled in controversy over her past affiliation with the Israeli Defense Forces. In 2017, the Lebanese Ministry of Economy banned the release of Wonder Woman due to Gal Gadot's affiliation and Lebanon's war with Israel.

It should be noted that the recent attacks on Palestinians by Israeli forces have been going on since the night of May 7, when Palestinians were worshiping at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the last Friday of Ramadan and 205 Palestinians were injured in the attack by Israeli forces.
