Israel and Hamas agree to 11-day ceasefire

Israel has declared a ceasefire after horrific bombings and atrocities on occupied Palestine. In support of this, the resistance militant group Hamas has confirmed an 11-day ceasefire.

A statement from the Israeli prime minister's office said the ceasefire had been unanimously approved by the security cabinet.

The ceasefire includes international and UN pressure on the one hand, and Egypt on the other. Al-Fatah and Hamas, two Palestinian militant groups, have said the ceasefire will begin at 2pm on Friday.

Earlier, according to US media reports, a ceasefire between the Israeli government and the Palestinian resistance group Hamas is now being considered after the Israeli bombardment of Gaza for the past 10 days. Egyptian officials had held talks with the Hamas leadership while the Israeli Had admitted to achieving military targets.

According to the latest reports, bombardment and firing by Israeli forces continued even after the ceasefire was declared.

Other European countries, including the United States, Egypt and Qatar, have also played a key role in pushing for a ceasefire, with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Hamas leading the way in easing tensions over the deteriorating situation in Gaza. There was also pressure.

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden called the Israeli Prime Minister for the fourth time after the Israeli bombing of Gaza, but this time the US President took a firm stand on the ceasefire and called for a clear reduction in tensions by the end of the day.

It should be noted that Israeli bombardment on unarmed Palestine has been going on for the last 11 days as a result of which about 232 people have been martyred and thousands injured while dozens of buildings have also collapsed. Sixty-five innocent children have also been killed in the conflict. More than 90,000 people have been displaced by Israel's unilateral and brutal crackdown.
