After the ban on Geo, Hamid Mir also took a stand and wrote that "there is nothing new for me".
On the microblogging site Twitter, Hamid Mir wrote: "I have been banned twice in the past, lost my job twice, escaped a murderous attack but did not stop speaking out for the rights enshrined in the constitution." Wrote that at this time I am ready for any kind of outcome and ready to go to any extent because they are threatening my family.

Hamid Mir Asma was responding to Shirazi's tweet in which he asked Geo's management to clarify its position. Asma Shirazi wrote that if Hamid Mir of Air or Geo News was banned from programming, more fingers would be pointed at the powerful establishment and the government and Pakistani journalists stand with Hamid Mir.
If @HamidMirPAK is taken off air or banned from doing program on #GeoNews, more fingers will point towards the powerful establishment & the government while resounding the “words that he said”. Journalists of Pak stand with #HamidMir #Geo management must clarify its position.
