The Punjab government has decided to hold a complete lockdown in the province during Eid-ul-Fitr to curb the spread of Corona.
Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid has said that there will be a complete lockdown in the province from May 8 during which all types of public transport and tourist places will remain closed to restrict the movement of people. Checkpoints will be set up at the entrances and exits of the cities on which police, rangers and army will be deployed.
The next 15 to 20 days are crucial for controlling the Corona epidemic, he said. Citizens support government efforts to control Corona. People should celebrate Eid with simplicity and prove that they are responsible citizens by taking precautions.
