A US court has ruled in favor of Brad Pitt after five years in a child custody case between Hollywood actor Brat Pitt and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
The case of extradition of 6 children between the two has been pending since 2016 and their case has been heard in at least 4 different courts.
The feud between the two began in 2016 when Angelina Jolie claimed that Brad Pitt had killed her eldest son, 19-year-old Maddox, on a plane.
Following the incident, Angelina Jolie separated from Brad Pitt and filed for divorce, and a California court ruled in April 2019 that the couple were "unmarried."
Although they have not yet been formally divorced, they have been declared "divorced" by the court to start a new life, but their divorce has not yet been formally settled.
The issue of their divorce is also pending due to the sponsorship of their 6 adopted children.
Because Angelina Jolie wanted all the children to be handed over to her, while Brad Pitt demanded that the children be raised together.
And now the court has ruled in favor of Brad Pitt's joint sponsorship of the children.
According to US magazine, Los Angeles court judge John Aderkirk rejected Angelina Jolie's request and ordered joint sponsorship of all children.
The court ruled in favor of Brad Pitt in a 12-page decision, after which the two actors will now plan their children's joint sponsorship with the help of their lawyers.
They have six children, the eldest being Maddox, 19, the second being Pax, 17, the 16-year-old, the 16-year-old, the 14-year-old, the twins, Knox and Wayne.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had been unmarried for 10 years, after which they were married in 2014 but separated two years later.
After which both of them had also approached the court for divorce but their divorce cases have not been fully resolved yet while the court has declared both of them as 'divorced' in a side decision.
Now that the issue of sponsorship of the two children has been resolved, it is believed that the final decision of divorce between the two will come to light.
