Aroosa Arshad, 27, from Nottingham, became Britain's first hijabi firefighter.
Arosa Arshad said in an interview that she had intended to do something challenging in her life since childhood. Her childhood dream of becoming a firefighter has finally come true.
"I am happy that I have been able to break all barriers and achieve my dreams. I am sure that women who dream of becoming firefighters will be encouraged to see me," she said.
In her interview, Arousa also said that she is proud of herself that she has been able to pave the way for women who wear hijab and dream of becoming firefighters.
Arosa says the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has provided her with a special hijab that she wears under an oxygen mask while at work.
He said he was hopeful that other Muslim women would follow in his footsteps.
