Bangladesh has imposed travel bans on travelers from European countries, including the United Kingdom

 

Bangladesh has imposed travel bans on travelers from European countries and 12 other countries besides the United Kingdom following a sharp rise in corona cases. The travel ban is aimed at curbing the new wave of novice coronavirus and the spread of new strains of the disease in several countries around the world.

The ban, which began on Saturday, will ban travelers from 12 non-European countries, including Argentina, Bahrain, Brazil, Chile, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Peru, Qatar, South Africa, Turkey and Uruguay. The Aviation Authority (CAAB) announced in a circular on Thursday that the ban would continue till April 18. According to Bangladesh's Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday Every day, 6,469 new cases of the Novel Corona virus have been reported, the highest single-day increase in the country since the onset of the global epidemic.
