PARIS: A small passenger plane crashed shortly after takeoff in the French capital, killing four people.
According to the international news agency, a small plane Ruben der R-400 crashed in the eastern part of the French capital Paris during a normal training flight. A search operation was conducted after the connection with the control tower was cut off.
During the rescue operation, the wreckage of the plane was found in a field. After the landslide, the plane caught fire. Four bodies have been exhumed from the wreckage. An inquiry committee has been formed to probe the incident.
The training plane had taken off from the French city of Bios and was due to land at Gol from Charles, France's largest airport, but crashed a short distance from the airport.
Police have not released the identities of those killed in the crash, while information is being gathered about the ownership of the plane.
