Airlink has started production of smartphones in Pakistan. According to the website 'Read', the Airlink smartphone production plant to be set up in Lahore was inaugurated by Federal Minister for Industries and Production Muhammad Hamad Azhar. Airlink has been distributing smartphones in Pakistan for the last 10 years. So far, it has distributed smartphones of Samsung, iPhone, Huawei, Xiaomi, TCL, Techno and other brands in Pakistan.
AirLink's production unit will have the capacity to manufacture 6 million smartphones annually. The plant has 8 production lines, 2 quality lines and 4 packing lines. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Federal Minister Hamad Azhar said that the construction of the plant would not only reduce the import bill but also create thousands of new jobs for Pakistanis.
