Rescue sources further said that the fire was brought under control after several hours while the cooling process is underway. No reports of any injuries were received in this tragic incident. Two younger siblings were killed and their mother was seriously injured when lightning struck a house in the suburbs of Tora Wari.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police of Doaba police station rushed to the spot and took part in the rescue operation along with the locals.
The house was also reportedly partially damaged. Similarly, a passenger plane of the national airline PIA narrowly escaped an accident during a local flight. According to media reports, national airline flight PK306 flew from Karachi to Lahore. As the passenger plane approached Nawabshah, it was struck by lightning during the flight. Meanwhile, the pilot of the plane controlled his nerves and took the plane to a higher altitude. The plane was damaged by lightning, and the plane's primary radar was affected. However, the pilot managed to control the plane while maintaining his senses and then the plane was landed at Lahore Airport.
