The Saudi government has fired dozens of clerics from Makkah and Jeddah.

The Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs has suspended 54 clerics and preachers, while other institutions have been instructed to continue their activities and not to cooperate.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs, the move was prompted by administrative violations and irregularities by the ousted clerics. ۔
