There is a possibility of thundershowers and rain in different parts of the country including the federal capital today.
According to the meteorological department, rain is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan while snowfall is expected in the mountains of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. It may rain with strong winds while Murree, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Haripur may also receive thundershowers.
According to the Meteorological Department, thundershowers are also expected in Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Kotli, Mirpur and other districts. Rain and snow is expected in the plains including Lower Dir in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Snow is also expected in Shahi, Bin Shahi and Isband Valley areas of the Pak-Afghan border. The highest rainfall of 18 mm was recorded in Dir, 13 mm in Kalam, 10 mm in Chitral, 10 mm in Parachinar, 9 mm in Mirkhani, 8 mm in Malam Jabba and 5 mm in Darosh. Besides, 4 mm rain was recorded in Peshawar and 8 mm in Quetta.
