Former United States President Donald Trump has refused to appear during an impeachment trial.
Prosecutor for Donald Trump's impeachment motion, Jamie Raskin, has called for the former president to appear for trial, saying "if we do not do that, we will be justified in asserting his consent to the January 6 attack on the Congress building."
At the prosecutor's request, Donald Trump's adviser, Jason Miller, made it clear that the former president would not appear for testimony in an unconstitutional proceeding. Democrats can't prove their allegations.
It should be noted that the impeachment proceedings against the former president will begin next week in the Senate on charges of inciting mutiny.
