In a meeting in the Indian industrial city of Mumbai, the Joint Municipal Commissioner of the Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) drank sanitized water.
According to the Daily Mail, during the budget committee meeting, Joint Municipal Commissioner Mumbai Ramesh Pawar, after showing the budget document, sat on the seat and opened the water bottle and closed his mouth.
In a viral video on social media, it can be seen that as soon as Ramesh Pawar takes a sip in his mouth, an employee comes running towards him and tells him that it is not water but a sanitizer. As soon as they realize this, they spit out the sanitizer and pick up the water bottle. Meanwhile, other staff members take him out of the meeting.
It was not clear what happened to the Joint Municipal Commissioner Mumbai after drinking the sanitizer and whether he had undergone a medical examination or whether he just returned clean.
