Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other Myanmar leaders have been arrested by the military.
According to the news agency, the spokesperson of the National League for Democracy Party Myo Nyunt has claimed that important leaders of the ruling party including the president have been arrested.
The spokesman said that the situation was such that a military coup and a seizure of power were taking place.
"I want to tell my people not to react but to act in accordance with the law."
Tensions between Myanmar's military and civilian government have risen sharply following the disputed election results.
In a statement, the military suggested that if the issue of vote fraud in last year's election was not resolved, the military would take control of Myanmar. Myanmar's military has accused the election of rigging.
It should be noted that Aung San Suu Kyi won last year's election.
