Commenting on the post, Sharmeen Obaid wrote, "A Turkish actress who does not play cricket in her home country will now represent cricket in Pakistan."
Expressing anger, the filmmaker asked, "Where have our own Pakistani actresses gone that we need a foreign actress?"
"If you continue to employ Turkish actors in your country in this way, our film industry will be wiped out," he said.
Sharmeen Obaid added that "the work that you are doing with foreign artists can be done well by our Pakistani artists as well."
