Sonam Kapoor, the son-in-law of renowned Indian actor Anil Kapoor and a well-known Bollywood actress, has revealed that while she was promoting the film Neerja, she had a horrific accident in which she narrowly escaped.
Talking to Indian media, actress Sonam Kapoor said that the accident happened in 2016 when she was busy promoting her film Neerja. The actress recalls the incident and says that if me and my friend Kanal Rawal are right Our death could have happened if we hadn't jumped out of the car for a moment.
The Bollywood film 'Neerja' is based on the life of Indian air hostess Neerja Bhanot who showed bravery and courage in saving the lives of 359 passengers on a flight to India, Sonam Kapoor who played the role of Neerja in the film Also survived a horrific accident.
Sonam said that there was only one thing that saved her life and that of her friend at that time and that was her conscience. The car stopped, he immediately realized something was wrong and asked Kanal to jump out of the car. However, at that moment the car caught fire and the side door of the canal was blocked.
"I helped open the canal door and as soon as she and Kanal got out of the car, the car exploded," she said.
Sonam said she and Kanal managed to save their lives seconds before the car exploded.
