Amid tensions with China, the US has helped India. The United States has decided to supply three of its 127 medium-powered guns to India. The guns will be sold by the US under a Rs 3,800 crore deal. Significantly, India is constantly strengthening its military ties with the United States. India has also recently leased two drones from the United States.
These guns are to be sent to warships stationed at sea. India had issued a letter of request to the US government. Through this letter, India had demanded 11 127 mm medium guns. These guns are to be sent on large warships of the Indian Navy. News agency sources said that the United States would hand over three of its weapons to the Indian Navy so that the weapons could be sent to Indian warships as soon as possible.
The United States has not yet begun production of new guns. As soon as the new guns begin to be ready for delivery, part of the US Navy's guns will be withdrawn. Medium-powered guns will be new to the Indian Navy.
Significantly, the Indian Navy has established good relations with the United States. Meanwhile, India has also acquired a large number of arms from the United States in the recent past. The P-8I aircraft has replaced the aircraft used for surveillance. Meanwhile, the MH-60 Romeos helicopters from the United States will replace the Sacking Choppers.
The Indian Navy is preparing to modernize and strengthen its warships. A few days ago, the government decided to buy 10 drones for the army.
