A longtime Filipino nurse in Saudi Arabia has died, much to the dismay of locals. The nurse was known for her kindness and was called Umm Ismail.
According to the Saudi website, the death of a Filipino nurse who had served for 40 consecutive years caused a wave of grief in Baha'i.
The locals used to call the Filipino nurse Umm Ismail. The nurse was always at the forefront of helping and treating the patients who came to the health center. Everyone in the area was familiar with her.
According to media reports, Umm Ismail suffered a stroke while on duty. She was rushed to a hospital where her condition worsened and her kidneys failed. The locals had collected 25,000 riyals to help them.
The Filipino nurse later returned to the Philippines as her health deteriorated, where she sought treatment among her relatives.
However, after returning home, her condition worsened and she eventually passed away. Upon the news of the nurse's death, the locals offered funeral prayers in absentia and paid homage to her in wonderful words.
