The ground outside a hospital in Italy suddenly sank and a deep pit fell, and the cod patients in the hospital were rushed out of the hospital.
The incident took place in the Italian city of Naples, where the parking area outside a hospital collapsed at around 6am and a deep pit fell.
Covering 22,000 square feet, the pit was 66 feet deep. Hundreds of vehicles fell into the pit due to landslides. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
There was a code ward of the hospital near the said place from where the corona patients were evacuated immediately. Due to the landslide, water and electricity supply to the area was also suspended.
The local administration said that this could be due to a geological disturbance under the ground. At the direction of the local magistrate, technicians have been called here to determine the cause of the accident.
According to the administration, heavy rains had lashed the city two weeks ago and the rising groundwater level could have caused the accident.
Police are inspecting the area with the help of dogs to make sure no one is trapped.
The hospital in Naples was a major center for the treatment of Covid 19 patients during the first wave of the coronavirus, but currently only 6 Covid patients are being treated here.
