Educational institutions across the country are expected to open in phases from January 25, but a final decision will be made at an inter-provincial education ministers' conference on January 4.
In this regard, it was informed that all decisions related to the opening of educational institutions in the country will be taken on the basis of Health Advisory.
The inter-provincial education ministers' conference, chaired by federal education minister Shafqat Mahmood, will be attended by education ministers from all four provinces.
In this regard, sources related to federal education said that the federal government has proposed to open educational institutions in three phases.
He said that the first phase includes the proposal to open primary schools from January 25, the second phase from February 4 to middle and secondary schools and the third phase to open higher education institutions.
Sources said that a nationwide examination is also proposed to be held in late May or June.
It should be noted that the government had decided to close all educational institutions across the country from November 26 in view of the increasing rate of corona virus cases across the country, especially in educational institutions.
The federal education minister had said that home-based studies would continue from November 26 to December 24, while there would be winter holidays from December 25 to January 10, during which all educational institutions would remain closed.
The education minister said that all educational institutions would be reopened on January 11 as conditions improve, but a review meeting would be held in the first week of January.
According to official portal data released today, the virus was confirmed in 2,184 people across the country, while 82 more died, but the number of people who recovered in the last 24 hours was 1,745. ۔
So far, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the country has reached 484,362, out of which more than 90% ie 438,974 have recovered while the death toll has reached 10,258. The number is reduced to 35,130.
