China has introduced a prototype model of a passenger train with a speed of 385 miles per hour.
The speed of 385 miles per hour is so high that it will be possible to cover the distance between Beijing and Shanghai in just 3 hours while the distance from Lahore to Karachi will be covered by this train in less than 2 hours.
The train will travel under a magnetic system, meaning that the train is suspended in the air on the magnetic field of the track.
China has one of the world's fastest commercial magnetic systems, currently operating at 267 miles per hour from Shanghai Airport to the center of the city.
The new train will travel on high temperature superconducting (HTS) power, which will make it feel drifting on a magnetic track.
The 21-meter-long prototype model was unveiled in Chengdu on January 13.
A 165 meter long track was also prepared for this train to see how this train could travel.
Experts said that such a train could be operational in 3 to 10 years.
He said that this province of China is rich in mineral resources which are helpful for the construction of magnetic tracks, which will help to make the experimental trains a reality soon.
Earlier this month, China also introduced a bullet train that is capable of traveling very fast even in extremely cold weather.
CR400AF. The G-Train can travel at temperatures of minus 40 degrees Celsius at 350 mph.
The train was recently introduced in Beijing, which will travel northeast from the Chinese capital, including Harbin, where the annual Ice Festival is very popular.
Authorities have not yet announced a start date for the train.
The largest high-speed rail network in the world is in China, which stretches for 37,000 kilometers, while the fastest train runs in Shanghai Maglev.
The speed of this train is 431 km per hour.
China has operated 1,036 bullet trains since 2017.
