Fingerprints are used to identify a person around the world, but there is a unique family in Bangladesh, for three generations, whose men do not have fingerprints. According to the India Times, the family suffers from a rare disease called Adermatolyphia. In this disease, the lines of the palms, soles and fingers are almost lost.
According to the report, people suffering from this disease have great difficulty in traveling abroad as they cannot be identified due to lack of fingerprints. One of the men in the family, Apo, says that my grandfather passed the disease on to our family. Our national identity card cannot be made due to lack of fingerprints. From 2016, fingerprints have also been made mandatory for buying 'SIM cards', since then it has become difficult for us to buy SIM cards.
