Former Indian cricketer and Indian National Congress MP from Punjab Navjot Singh Sadhu have apologized for inadvertently hurting the feelings of Sikhs.
It is to be noted that Sadhu's apology came to light when Harpreet Singh, the Akal Takht chief of the Golden Temple, demanded an apology from Sadhu.
According to media reports, Sadhu wore a shawl adorned with Sikh religious symbols.
In this regard, Sadhu issued a statement on social media in which he apologized and said that he wore this shawl unknowingly.

Sadhu wrote in his tweet that "Shri Akal Takht is a great leader, I have inadvertently hurt someone's feelings so I apologize to him."
He said that millions of Sikhs wear these revered symbols on their turbans and clothes, however, I also inadvertently wore this shawl.
It is to be noted that after receiving complaints against Sadhu at the Golden Temple, Akal Takht chief Giani Harpreet Singh had demanded a public apology from Sadhu.
On the other hand, Jaspal Singh, the personal assistant of Akal Takht, said that the secretariat has not yet received a written apology from Sadhu.
