Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz's parole expires, transferred to jail again

 

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif and Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz was again transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail after the expiry of their six-day parole.

According to private TV, Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz have been transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail again after the expiry of their probation period. Jail officials took Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz in separate vehicles to Kot Lakhpat Jail.

According to sources, an important meeting took place between Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz before the transfer to Kot Lakhpat Jail. Maryam Nawaz presented a report to Shahbaz Sharif regarding the meetings of the Pakistan Democratic Moment.

Due to the death of Begum Shamim Akhtar, the Punjab government had on November 27 released Koshabaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz from Kot Lakhpat Jail on parole for five days, which ended on December 1, after which the Punjab government granted parole to both. A Punjab government spokesman had said that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar had ordered the release of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz on parole out of humanitarian sympathy.

The Punjab government had granted parole under section 545B of the Pakistan Prison Rules 1978.
