Kathmandu: Nepal Airlines made a serious mistake and took off for another city. According to international media reports, the Nepali Airlines plane had 66 passengers on board. The captain landed the flight on December 18 in Pokhara instead of Janakpur.
When the passengers got out of the plane without any worries, they were surprised to see the new city. When they got the information, they found out that the flight had landed in Pokhara city. According to the report, the flight of the local airline 'Buddha Air' had left Kathmandu International Airport on December 18 for the northwestern city of Pokhara but the captain diverted it to the south. The distance between the two cities is about 400 km.
The CEO of the airline said, "The loss of contact with the captain was a unique incident of its kind which has caused us embarrassment." He said all the passengers were taken to their destination by another flight. According to local media reports, the flight from Pokhara to Janakpur required special permission. After getting permission from the captain, the plane landed at the airport.
Passengers criticized the captain and the airline for wasting time. The female passenger said, "The airline has manual flight operations, so their plane can go anywhere they want."
