According to private TV Sama News, more than 80 corona patients were being treated in the isolation ward of Khyber Teaching Hospital. Suddenly, the condition of the patients deteriorated due to a lack of oxygen. Seven patients died within an hour, Corona's patients died due to lack of regular supply of oxygen, and other patients were also affected due to lack of oxygen.
The hospital management says that Pindi's company provides oxygen to the hospital. Oxygen cylinders from Rawalpindi did not arrive on time. Patients need more oxygen due to cold. Information is also being obtained about the delay in oxygen cylinders.
Health Minister Timur Saleem Jhagra said that the incident of non-availability of oxygen in the hospital took place last night, ordered an investigation into the incident of lack of oxygen, directed action on the incident within 48 hours, if the investigation is not satisfactory, the government will order an inquiry.
Timur Saleem Jhagra said that the supply of oxygen in the hospital was reduced, this incident should not have happened, there was a problem in the supply of oxygen or negligence, full details of the incident should be awaited, he said nothing can be said yet on the number of dying patients, Mostly coronary patients on oxygen cylinders.
Provincial Minister Shaukat Yousafzai has said that deaths due to lack of oxygen alone are unbearable, health department must remain alert, action will be taken against those responsible.
