Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa participated in the 48th Basic Aviation Security Course Passing Out Parade held at Airport Security Force Academy, Karachi. A large number of family members of present service / retired officers and passing out trainees observed the parade.
Addressing the participants, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that training of ASF trainees would enhance the standard of aviation safety in Pakistan. He expressed satisfaction over the training and performance of ASF trainees and appreciated the participation of women in the force. The Army Chief congratulated the trainees and their families and distributed prizes among the position holders. Earlier on arrival, the Chief of Army Staff was received at the Academy by the Director-General of Airport Security Force, Major General Zafar UI Haq.
Later, the COS visited the headquarters of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, where he was received by Major General Omar Ahmad Bukhari. During the talks, COAS appreciated the cooperation of Sindh Rangers in maintaining peace and stability in Karachi and paid tribute to their sacrifices. On arrival at the Airport Security Force Academy, the Army Chief laid a wreath at the memorial.
