Pakistan has issued notices to Google and the information website Wikipedia against broadcasting malicious content.
The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) said in a statement that it was receiving complaints about Islam with "misleading search results" and an immovable version of the Qur'an uploaded to the Google Play Store.
"Assessing the seriousness of the matter, we have contacted Google and asked them to remove all illegal content," he said. According to the PTA, they are also receiving complaints about the publication of blasphemous sketches of the Prophet Muhammad.
